The Life Science Student Journal (LSSJ) is a new open-access online journal dedicated solely to student research in the life sciences. As an early-career scientist, it can be challenging to find platforms to showcase our work and gain valuable experience. The LSSJ provides an opportunity for students to publish their research, collaborate with peers, and contribute to the scientific community.
In today's world, cross-disciplinary research is essential to advancing scientific knowledge and solving complex problems. The LSSJ covers all life sciences disciplines in the areas of animal, plant, basic sciences and clinical medicine, allowing students to explore different fields and develop a trans-disciplinary vision. By promoting collaboration between students from different backgrounds, the LSSJ aims to enhance scientific research and innovation.
As an open-access journal, the LSSJ provides free and unrestricted access to its articles, ensuring that scientific knowledge is available to everyone. This approach aligns with the principles of open science, which advocates for transparency, collaboration, and accessibility in research.
The LSSJ is committed to a fast and logical refereeing process, ensuring that each submitted article receives a timely response about acceptance or rejection. We understand the importance of feedback in improving research quality and encourage authors to use our platform to receive constructive feedback from peers and reviewers.
We believe that the LSSJ has the potential to become a leading platform for early-career scientists in the life sciences. By providing opportunities for students to publish their research, collaborate with peers, and gain valuable experience, we hope to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and innovation.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Editorial Board for their hard work in establishing the LSSJ and their commitment to promoting student research in the life sciences. We look forward to receiving submissions from students around the world and contributing to the growth of scientific knowledge.
