Call for Papers   Special Issue Title:  Smart Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering

Journal of Applied Tissue Engineering (JATE) is pleased to announce a special issue on "Smart Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering." We invite researchers, clinical specialists, and biomedical engineers to submit original research articles and review papers on fundamental or applied aspects of smart scaffolds for tissue engineering.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • pH-responsive smart scaffolds

  • Temperature (thermo)-responsive smart scaffolds

  • Enzyme-responsive scaffolds

  • Reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive scaffolds

  • Glucose-responsive scaffolds

  • Magnetic field-responsive scaffolds

  • Electroactive conductive scaffolds

  • Mechanoresponsive piezoelectric scaffolds

  • Light-responsive and 4D-printed scaffolds

  • Multi-stimuli-responsive scaffolds
